Trick or treating opportunities: Charles City, New Hampton, Nashua, and more

Spooky month is nearly its cobweb and sugar-rich finale – All Hallows Eve. North Iowa News decided to compile a list of events in the area that could be referenced when your ghoulish children and warlock friends decide to fill their burlap sacks with treats and spiders. If we missed any events, comment them on our Facebook post!

Charles City (Official city trick or treating: 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm)

  • To start, from 5:30 pm to 7 pm, Trinity United Methodist Church (601 Milwaukee St.) have created a safe and free event for trick or treating titled ‘Trinity Treats’. The entire night will be hosted inside, so you don’t have to worry about sacrificing warmth for candy!
  • The Bridge Church on South Main is hosting a Trunk or Treat event at 6 pm to 8 pm and boasts a family friendly environment, candy, and prizes.

New Hampton (Official city trick or treating: 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm)

  • Over in New Hampton from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, Harvest Church (481 S. Linn Ave.) will be holding a Truck or Treat event. SUVs, minivans, and cars will line the parking lot and the coordinators promised that they will not have super-scary themes.

Nashua (Official city trick or treating: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm)

Osage (Official city trick or treating: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm)

  • The city of Osage is teaming up with Main Street businesses for their Main Street Trick or Treat event. From 3:30 pm to 5 pm, participating businesses will have candy for children and the community.
