Charles City schools home to greener pastures

The Charles City Wastewater project left many trees displaced in the area. So, the city of Charles City and the school board teamed up to make the campus a bit greener – adding a little over 70 trees in total to the properties.

Mike Fisher, superintendent of schools says the trees were distributed to the likes of Lincoln School, Washington School, and the College Grounds.

Fisher says, the planting team is working noticeably fast as he has witnessed them spading three trees at once.
