Charles City annual Holiday Lighted Parade coming soon

In America, seconds after it turns Black Friday, we turn our full attention to Christmas. In Charles City, this tectonic shift will be felt early, as the annual Holiday Lighted Parade will take place on December 6th. The actual parade starts at 6 p.m. and according to Jen Solomon of the Committee of Community Revitalization, should showcase a lively lineup.

Following the parade, Santa will also be making his first appearance at the Santa House in Charles City. If you miss out on seeing him on the 6th he will also be at the house on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 22nd.

Get to Central Park early as Hy-Vee will be holding a Candy Cane Hunt event starting at 5 p.m.

The theme of this year’s parade is, ‘Holidays Around the World,’ and the Revilitization team asks that you pre-register for the event by emailing info@charlescitychamber.com or by calling 641-228-2335.
