Chickasaw Connections to hold youth vaping forum tonight

A mass turnover occurred when recent lung-disease outbreaks asserted that, not only are vapes not a cure to smoking based diseases, they might even cause them quicker. The big vape companies have been scrutinized for also being correlated to some deaths nationwide. This is why Chickasaw Connections believes holding a community forum to discuss their youth’s future when it comes to substance abuse would be a fruitful choice.

Tonight at the Sumner-Fredericksburg middle school at 6:30 p.m., the community forum will be about substance abuse and will focus on vaping. Chief Deputy for Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office, Reed Palo says 1 in 4 high school students currently vape or have vaped in the past year. Palo explains that it is apparent these companies are marketing to high schoolers.

According to, no experiments have been conducted on humans. This makes it impossible to predict what the long term effects of vaping are on the body.
