Charles City man caught stealing over $6,000 from closing KMart store

KMart’s announcement of their imminent closing in Charles City (February 2020), has fueled much local purchasing for the dying superstore. Most of the merchandise is 30% off and is selling at a much quicker rate than usual. This finality event has also stirred up inner-department drama as now-former KMart employee, Kenin Neve, has been accused of stealing over $6,000 of cash and merchandise from the store in just a month. 

Neve will face a felony second-degree theft charge later this month.

His managers and the cameras in the store caught him stealing and reported it to the police. His preliminary hearing will be on December 31.
