The Charles City school board will be back in the Study Hall/Commons area of the high school for a meeting tonight starting at 6:15 p.m. This meeting has the potential to be long, as the agenda promises 25 items for the board to discuss. Here are some highlights:
Very early, the board will go over last week’s National School Counseling Week (Feb. 3-7) and in order to recognize the many school counselors – will be reading a proclamation.
Near the middle of the meeting, Superintendent Mike Fisher and Director of Operations Jerry Mitchell, will both unveil the facilities master plan project.
Later the board will talk through Fisher’s decision to deny Doug Lindaman’s request to attend the Caucus in the high school on February 3rd and board meetings. He appealed the decision and the superintendent’s current recommendation to the board reads: “the School Board has reviewed the superintendent’s decision regarding access to the Caucus and school board meetings and affirms the Superintendent’s decision and declines to take further action.”
