The Floyd County Conservation Center’s main goal is to get people outside and get them learning. That is why Naturalist Heidi Reams and the conservation team is holding outdoor events all throughout winter.
This Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Fossil Prairie Park, the center will be hosting a Shed Antler Hunt.
Then on February 27th, an event aptly named, “Women in the Woods with Wine,” will attempt to lure indoorsy women – outdoors.
Lastly, the center has several cross country skiing events periodically throughout the winter months. It is $5 to rent skis, and then it is time to get a workout in.
