Charles City locals tell favorite Valentines Day story

Let the love in the universe soak into your soul today! It’s Saint Valentine’s Day and on the KCHA Morning Show, Kay and Chris celebrated by opening the phone lines to romantic locals with V-Day stories of their own.

Local Chuck Townian, Carole, described how one year she helped some neighbor kids aged 10 and 12, help throw their parents a candle-lit dinner.

Another local by the name of June, reminisces about her middle son scrapping some money together and spending it on a meal for his family.

June ended up also winning the grand prize of the morning show – a dozen roses from the Hy-Vee Floral Department. She decided to donate them to the Charles City Police Department.
