Tosanak and Iowa BIG North partnering for fresh maple syrup ‘pancake breakfast’; proceeds go to Floyd County Conservation

Fresh sap gushes out of maple trees and into buckets. One takes the sap and boils it down and 40 gallons of this clear and sweet liquid becomes maple syrup for our pancakes. The Iowa BIG North students, known for community outreach, are teaming up with the Floyd County Conservation to put on the ‘Tosanak Maple Syrup Pancake Breakfast’.

The event will be on March 21st from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tosanak Recreational Area in Marble Rock.

The event will have an option for a free will donation and an opportunity to tour the grounds on a guided walk.

Obviously, fresh maple syrup will be served and sold with this accompanying menu:

Pancakes

Sausage

Coffee

Milk

And all proceeds will be going to the Floyd County Conservation.
