First Citizen’s Bank Charitable Foundation funds area maple syrup production

Maple syrup season is here and everyone wants that drippy drippy sugar sauce. First Citizens Bank’s Charitable Foundation is awarding the Fossil and Prairie Conservation Foundation $1,000 to make that happen locally.

The money will be used directly to fund the conservation’s purchase of maple syrup production equipment.

This foundation has donated over $6 million to various organizations and people and was created in the 90s.

The website reads: “The Corporation is organized for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations.”

For more information on the charitable organization go to www.myfcb.bank/about/charitable-foundation.com. Applications are accepted between June 1st and November 15th of each year.
