MacNider Art Museum posting art challenges and talks; gives kids, elderly something to look forward to

The world is being slowly isolated – into our homes – our rooms. Director Edith Blanchard at the MacNider’s Art Museum in Mason City immediately became aware of how bored children and elderly were.

They were forced to close to the public. The museum, in a coalition against collective boredom and miseducation, started to post educational videos and contests on their website and Facebook page.

On Mondays, the museum hosts art challenges.

Tuesdays and Thursdays will be art talks.

Each day of the week harbors a different collaborative challenge or talk with the museum. For more information on these daily events, go to their Facebook page:

They plan to do these activities for a minimum of 4 weeks.
