The Floyd County Courthouse is closed to the public; how to conduct business

The Floyd County Courthouse is officially closed to the public. This means, nobody should enter the facility unless they are authorized to do so by an employee who works in the courthouse. Floyd County Auditor Gloria Carr released this to the public:

If the person arrives at the entrance of the courthouse, and needs more assistance than just dropping papers in the drop boxes, they can call an office, either by cell phone or by the phone in the entryway, and that department/employee will assess the person’s needs which may require bringing the person into the building to conduct additional in-person services.”

For more information, the courthouse’s number is 641-228-7777.
