Charles City woman gets deferred sentence for burglary

Charles City woman, Pinkie Maria Collett, who was charged of first-degree burglary for breaking into a residents home and assaulting them, is getting a deferred sentence after pleading guilty to a reduced charge. 

Collett, 29 years old, signed a plea deal of burglary in the 3rd degree.

This agreement will incur 2 years of probation plus miscellaneous fees of over $625. 

As long as Collett pays the fees and meets the terms of her probation, the charges will be removed from her record. 

The crime was committed on June 7th, 2019. Where Collett entered the 11th Street premises without permission and injured the resident in the home.
