Comet senior talks potentially missing tennis season; prom; graduation

Senior Comet Lauren Connell was doing a lot for her school in the fall – she was an FFA officer, an occasional wrestler, and a trusted basketball starter. Come April of 2020, just like most other teenagers, she is forced to participate in almost nothing.

Even though Connell is primed to potentially miss her senior tennis season, her senior prom, and her high school graduation, she is anything but depressed. After looking at her full senior year, Connell believes it has been a great one.

When asked what she is going to miss most, Connell responded two things: tennis and FFA.

School is online on a voluntary basis through May 4th – Connell is getting used to her new normal.

Connell is having a tough time deciding between UNI and Iowa State University for her undergraduate studies – though to her, planning for the future seems odd and futile right now.
