Books are back in Charles City on Monday! The slowly reopening state is allowing many Iowa libraries to reopen their doors. Charles City Public Library is one of them. Though, according to Director Annette Dean, the library will opt only to recommence their pick-up services. This is due to safety obligations that the facility needs time to think over.
On May 4th locals will be able to check out any material from book to DVD to magazine by calling the library from 9 to 5.
All late fees and return dates will be waived until August 31st.
Dean says the library is aiming at a late-May tentative date of reopening. Though, some dominoes will need to fall into place by then, such as: the library’s ability to create a system where only a maximum of 50% of its capacity is allowed in the building at a time.
