Charles City schools allowing students to pick-up belongings today and Wednesday

Time has come to get your personal belongings from school! All four Charles City district schools (Washington, Lincoln, Middle School, High School) will be open on May 4th and May 6th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for pick-ups.

A release reads:

“Families should use the pick-up/drop-off lanes at each building and stay in their cars. Staff members will ask for students’ names and/or locker numbers.”

The school district will then bring out your items to the car – nobody outside of staff should be entering the building at all.

School items like library books the student isn’t using can be returned to the school during this time. Just hand them over to the staff during these time windows.

Finally, those with Chromebook should not return them during these two events. Chromebooks will be used to participate in voluntary continuous learning throughout the spring. Later, the district will release a date for the Chromebook pick-ups.
