This week is ‘Teacher Appreciation Week’ around the country (no school version)

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. When this date was set, most probably thought teachers would actually be in school to celebrate this 5-day holiday.

As those in Hollywood would say, ‘The show must go on!’

Superintendent of Osage schools Barb Schwamman says this week, all of her staff are counted as teachers and appreciated under this umbrella title.

A release from the Charles City school system says this week is a perfect time to say ‘Thank you!’ to the faculty and staff in the district:

Let’s pitch in, kids and parents, to make this week especially awesome for teachers, administration, and support staff. Use social media to post a thank you sign, make a video, or send a thoughtful email to those who have helped us all get through this together. However you choose to do it, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to our amazing teachers!”

Schwamman says Osage and North Iowa staff were forced to adapt on a dime over the last couple of months – she thinks they did an outstanding job.
