Osage schools holding ‘Senior Last Day’ on Friday with social distancing parade; fireworks

All high schools are attempting to do right by their 2020 seniors – obviously, it is hard. With that, Osage schools are putting on the ‘Senior Last Day’ for their students on May 8th with activities from ‘sunrise to sunset’.

As stated, the night will start with the continuation of the ‘Light Up Iowa’ program where schools all around the state are igniting their stadium lights every Friday for one minute for every school day the seniors have missed.

Then, the seniors will be stationed on the new Devil’s Drive in lawn chairs 10-feet apart. The district is asking the community to ‘bring them a parade’ from 8 to 9 p.m.

Superintendent Barb Schwamman says the night will end with a sky full of fireworks.
