Floyd County Public Health announces 1st death associated with COVID-19 in area

Floyd County is up to 4 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of May 11th. Going into May 8th, there were only 2 confirmed cases; a new case was confirmed on Friday, May 8th; and another on Sunday, May 10th. Floyd County also had its 1st death over the weekend – FCPH Administrator Gail Arjes says the individual was elderly (81+).

 

Arjes says FCPH wants to extend their sympathy to this individual’s family.
