Former Comet’s virtual choir still VIRAL; nearing 500,000 YouTube views

Harrison Sheckler, a former Comet and current graduate music student at Brooklyn College, was sent home to Charles City for safe-keepings weeks ago after New York City became the hot-bed for the coronavirus. He missed music; he missed people – so he created a virtual choir for the song ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.

He expected the ensemble to include 50 musicians from all around the county. Instead, 300 musicians participated in 15 countries around the world.

And the video went completely viral.

Right now, the YouTube video is nearing 500,000 overall views – and with it posted on Facebook, Instagram, and many other mediums, this view count promises to be much higher.

Along with the view count accolades, tons of news outlets covered the story. From CNN, to People Magazine, to CBS – the coverage came far and wide.

HERE IS THE VIDEO:

Sheckler sends his ‘thank you’ to everyone involved in the project – inside and out.
