Gov. Reynolds to allow more businesses to reopen Friday; gives high school baseball and softball the green light

Gov. Kim Reynolds announced another batch of Iowa openings on Wednesday:

Over the past couple of weeks, Gov. Reynolds has announced countless reopenings in the state of Iowa – from restaurants, to gyms, to hair salons, and beyond. After talking to these businesses for an update, she felt most of them were doing the necessary work to keep their customers safe.

The high school seniors also received hopeful news as Reynolds announced on June 1st, school sponsored activities and learning could start up again. This would include the summer sports seasons for the students. On that date, schools will be permitted to commence baseball and softball practices.

The emergency proclamation for Iowa ends on May 27th and in the next week Reynolds promises to update the state on the complete plans going further.
