Gov. Reynolds extends ‘Disaster Emergency Proclamation’ until June 25th; Casinos, racetracks, amusement parks, bowling alleys to open

Iowa’s Gov. Kim Reynolds just extended Iowa’s Disaster Emergency Proclamation until June 25th – though, the restrictions continue to loosen. And in similar fashion, she is also allowing most of the rest of the businesses to reopen on June 1st.

 

Bars (even with live music), breweries, and wineries are all still set to reopen at 50% capacity on May 28th. 

On June 1st, the Gov. announced high school baseball and softball could commence operations. In addition to this, social, leisure, and sports gatherings and can now meet as long as people are being responsible with their own hygiene and safety.

 

On a micro level, Floyd County currently has 18 confirmed cases of COVID-19 – with the most recent cases coming on May 23rd (2).
