Charles City Schools 2020 Commencement (Sunday)

Sunday is finally commencement for the Charles City Class of 2020. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be held on the Charles City High School Football Field. Graduating seniors need to meet at the football field scoreboard at 5 p.m. in full gown and cap.

Seniors are being asked by the local health officials to invite 10 or less family members. During the ceremony, graduates will be spaced out 6 feet on the field for safety purposes. Family members can sit and a group and are asked to space themselves 6 feet from other family pods.

The graduates have already received their diplomas, so no contact with the school faculty will be taking place. Verbal recognition will be posed as the senior walks across the stage one by one.

Family members are welcome to wearing face masks during the ceremony, but it isn’t a requirement.

If weather doesn’t permit, the ceremony may be postponed until July 14th.

Prior to the ceremony, graduating seniors are asked to fill out this RSVP survey:
