NIACC and SBDC holding free business start-up workshop

Those out there trying to start a business with little to no savvy – and even less money, should consider the ‘Free Start Smart Workshop’ offered by NIACC Pappajohn Center and the Small Business Development Center. SBDC’s Mary Spitz says the workshop will give small business hopefuls the foundational knowledge they need.

This workshop is free and participants will learn how to create a business plan, do market research, discuss different types of business ownership, and learn how to register a business. This Zoom workshop will be offered on July 15th from 6-8 p.m. The workshop is normally in person but will be held online for pandemic safety purposes.

After attending Start Smart, you can make an appointment to meet over the phone individually with the Small Business Development Center Counselors to assist you in reviewing your business plan, or to provide guidance with other issues. Registration is required to get the Zoom link, contact Mary Spitz-SBDC office at NIACC: 641.422.4342 or mary.spitz@niacc.edu.
