After the weekend: Floyd, Chickasaw, Mitchell, Cerro Gordo virus update

After the weekend, Floyd County sits at 82 confirmed cases of COVID-19 – with 7 cases coming in the last week (averaging 1 new case per day). 59 of these 82 cases are fully recovered and are not currently under public health’s supervision. 

Mitchell and Chickasaw Counties both had 2 new cases of the virus over the weekend respectively. Mitchell County, which has been spiking lately, is at 46 cases – with 31 of them recovered. Chickasaw County has 31 total cases – with more than 90% of them fully recovered (29).

Over in Cerro Gordo County, confirmed cases have been rocketing. In the last week, the county has sustained a steady average of 12 new cases per day. This has pushed the areas total to 324 cases with only 71 of these cases being recovered.
