Chickasaw County announces out of 31 total virus cases, only 2 are active

Chickasaw County has 2 active cases.  The cumulative total is 31 cases, with 29 cases that have recovered and been released from Public Health monitoring.  

Case totals by age group are as follows:

0-17 year age range: 2 cases.

18-40 year age range: 15 cases.

41-60 year age range: 10 cases.

61-80 year age range: 3 cases.

81+ age group: 1 case.

Chickasaw County Public Health continues to receive calls from the public looking for current information.  Please take note that coronavirus.iowa.gov has a wealth of information available.  Cumulative case counts by county.  The RMCC Dashboard area shows the current number of patients hospitalized by area, admitted in the last 24 hours, or on ventilators.  Current data is showing that 23% of COVID patients have a pre-existing condition, 51% have no pre-existing condition, and in 26% of patients pre-existing condition status is unknown.
