New Hampton ‘Towing for Tatum’ event raises over $500 (estimated) for young girl’s cancer treatment

Tatum Lechtenberg, a vibrant 7 year old New Hampton girl has Acute B Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Tatum loves fishing, camping, and oddly – tow trucks. This is why Zip’s Outfitters in New Hampton put on an event called ‘Towing for Tatum’ on July 11th to raise money for the next 2 years of chemotherapy for her.

Nancy Caspersen with Zip’s Outfitters says the event went extremely well, especially considering the pandemic circumstances.

The t-shirts Tatum designed sold well and the baked goods she made herself sold out very quickly.

She also got to see the tow trucks again.

Overall, Nancy says it was only a couple of hours and they estimate the event raised over $500 dollars for Tatum and her treatments.

Tatum has family members who work at Zip’s Outfitters in New Hampton and she was able to reunite with a ton of her extended family and beyond at the event.
