Last weekend’s ‘Floyd County Farm Bureau Auction’ on KCHA doesn’t skip a beat

The Floyd County Farm Bureau Auction, an event normally held in-person, was funneled into KCHA’s airwaves this last Saturday due to the pandemic. This auction was MC’d by KCHA’s Kay Winkleman and was done to fund-raise for the Floyd County Youth Enrichment Center.

Floyd County Fairgrounds President Amy Staudt says even though it was a first – it went extremely well.

And though radio was a new format for the auction, the team raised just as much money for the enrichment center to use as normal years.

Staudt says every dollar from the radio auction will be used to float the enrichment center for years to come.
