Former Comet wins 2020 ‘Young Alumni Award’ from Wartburg College

Former Charles City High School graduate Trevor Carolan has won a pretentious graduate award from Wartburg College. Carolan is one of the five selected for the 2020 ‘Young Alumni Award’. An honor given out to alumni who have “shown ability to live out the four pillars of the Wartburg College Mission Statement— leadership, service, faith, and learning—both personally and professionally.”

Wartburg’s post reads:

“In addition to his law career and passion for music, Carolan volunteers with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Court Works Program, where he mentors youth in the federal legal process and helps students prepare for moot court competition. He also teaches financial literacy to students through the national C.A.R.E. organization. Through immigration clinics, he assists children and young adults in completing their legal paperwork. He also has served his alma mater as a member of the Wartburg College Alumni Board from 2014 to 2018.”

Carolan currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife Dr. Alexandria Carolan and their child Juliana Maria.
