Fredericksburg man dead following two vehicle crash

Chickasaw County, IA – A Fredericksburg man is dead following a two-vehicle collision near the intersection 300th Street and Vanderbilt Ave. at around 7:42am Tuesday.

A 1999 Ford Truck was traveling north on Vanderbilt Ave while a 2006 Ford Freestar was heading west on 300th St. The Iowa State Patrol says the truck failed to yield to the right of way and collided with the Freestar.

32-year-old Sean Slick of Fredericksburg was killed in the crash while 19-year-old Justin Pfister of Sumner, was injured.

Neither driver was wearing seatbelts. The crash remains under investigation.
