Northeast Iowa Food Bank and Minnesota Viking ‘Viking’s Table’ both in Charles City Wednesday

Many were recently wondering when the next time the Northeast Iowa Food Bank would be in Charles City. Well, Wednesday that glorious day will arrive. Pastor Debi Lincoln says unlike normal, the team will be at the Charles City High School from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. rather than noon.

Lincoln again asks those who come to remain in their vehicles and the food will be put in their trunks or back seats. To also remember to bring photo IDs and to have a maximum of 2 households packed in each vehicle.

Lincoln says some won’t be able to apply for this round of the food bank.

Lincoln says the food bank is doing deliveries for the sick and elderly but asks the public to understand that they don’t have many delivery drivers.

Finally, this food bank event will also have a special twist as Winnebago and the Minnesota Vikings have teamed up to create a program called ‘The Vikings Table’ that travels Minnesota and northern Iowa giving out meals. This team will also be at the high school at the same time.
