Parking lot behind Charles City Public Library repaving finished

As a part of Charles City’s paving project, the CC Public Library’s parking lot underwent a repaving face-lift over the last month and a half. As of this week, the project is done and ready to be used again by library patrons and city hall visitors alike.

City Councilwoman Phoebe Pittman was excited about the project for the message it will send to visitors.

Librarian Stacey Leerhoff is also pumped that the repaving is completed and asks library goers to call ahead for browsing times and book rentals.

Charles City will have many paving projects over the next year – like the construction currently underway on the Main Street Bridge – which will lead up to the biggest project which will involve the refurbishing of Highway 18 in 2021.
