Charles City PAWS ‘Cedar River Dog Jog’ to have virtual option this year

Charles City PAWS biggest yearly fundraiser – the Cedar River Dog Jog, normally held in June, is now only weeks away following its pandemic postponement.

On September 19th, you and your dog can jog or walk a 5K together. The event will start at 8:30 a.m. with same-day registration starting at 7:30 a.m.

PAWS Director Julie Taylor says she understands people could be weary of large group gatherings and has decided to offer a virtual alternative:

In order to secure an event t-shirt, people should register for the event prior to September 19th for a base rate of $25.

From 9:30 to 10:30 PAWS will be offering dog and puppy micro-chipping for those interested.

And finally, Taylor sets the safety ground rule for the event:
