Multi-million dollar ‘Riceville Activity Center’ now being used by school; soon open to public

The Riceville school district now has a multi-million dollar workout and training facility. It is called the ‘Riceville Activity Center’ and is currently being used for social distanced gym classes and sports practices. Superintendent of Riceville Barb Schwamman says the facility is only being used by the school right now – but promises that will change in under a month.

You heard that correctly – at that open house, the community will have the opportunity to buy a lifetime membership from the gym.

The activity center’s goal is to give the students ample practice room. Schwamman says before the activity center was erected, Riceville athletes were being forced to practice during school hours, which took almost an hour everyday away from student’s academic time.
