Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors vote to dismiss Health Board member

New Hampton, Iowa – The Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors voted last week to remove a member of the Board of Health.

According to the New Hampton Tribune – Last Tuesday, Supervisors voted 3 to 2 to remove Terry Johnson from the board.

Johnson is accused of making inappropriate and lewd comments in public meetings, lack of professionalism toward staff and other board members and his negative portrayal of the department to the public.

Johnson, in comments to the newspaper, said “he was expecting it” and that “he knew what they were up to, they want me off because I was asking too many questions. He now has 30 days to ask for a public hearing.
