Senior Life Solutions reminds us that it is ‘Suicide Prevention Month’; free mental health webinar tomorrow

We are closing in on the end of ‘Suicide Prevention Month’ and Senior Life Solutions Sheila Kobliska wants to remind the elderly and the young alike that it is important to reach for help if you need it.

Kobliska also wants to remind people that their are many opportunities to receive free mental health counselling. Senior Life Solutions at MercyOne New Hampton is one of those great opportunities for people over the age of 65.

Another one of these opportunities is presented with September 24ths webinar titled ‘Let’s Talk Mental Health’ where mental health professionals will discuss suicide prevention, the pandemic’s impact on suicidal thoughts and actions, and share statistics and information specific to different age groups including children, adolescents, and the geriatric population.

And finally, the panel will speak on “Aging in Isolation – A Silent Killer” and the impact of suicide on the older adult population.

Once again the suicide prevention hotline can be reached at: 1-800-273-8255.
