Charles City Public Library to hold ‘Halloween Candy Scavenger Hunt’

The leaves are dropping and hanging loosely from our car windshields – it must be nearing Halloween. Most cities in the country are not recommending that children trick or treat this year. The safe ways for area kids to dress up and get candy are drying up quickly.

The Charles City Public Library is trying to troubleshoot this issue. On October 26th, the library will be holding a ‘Halloween Candy Scavenger Hunt’.

There will actually be 3 opportunities to participate in the hunt:

October 26th from 1 to 7:30 p.m.

October 27th from 4 to 6 p.m.

October 28th from 4 to 6 p.m.

People are encouraged to sign up for a 10 minute time slot by calling the library at 641-257-6319.

Whoever finds the ‘sucker ghost’ during their hunt will also get a bonus prize for their efforts.
