Free veggies at Charles City food pantry starting this Friday

Jordan River Messiah Church (102 North Main Street), the food pantry in Charles City, is reopening this Friday. The hours the pantry will operate starting tomorrow will be:

Noon to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays

9 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays

In light of this, the free and fresh vegetable distribution that Trinity United Methodist Church has been doing this summer will now be moved to the pantry’s parking lot. This will keep all of the food opportunities in the same place.

If gardeners have vegetables to donate, they may drop them off at Trinity United Methodist Church from Monday to Friday where refrigeration is available. The produce is also being donated by the ‘Growing Iowa Together Grant’.

‘First come, first served until it’s gone.’

And the volunteers ask you to wear a mask.
