Dave’s Restaurant reopens after virus scare

Ownership of Dave’s Restaurant in Charles City was passed off to longtime employee Kim McIntire (Kimmer) several weeks ago. Upon hearing this news, Kimmer was informed that several employees of the restaurant had tested positive for COVID-19.

And just like that, Kimmer had inherited her first managerial challenge.

Kimmer ultimately decided to close until October 6th (today) so her employees could get right – and so her customers would remain safe.

Now after the virus scare, the restaurant is open. A post on Facebook from Kimmer reads:

“WE MISSED EVERYONE AND ARE EXCITED TO SEE YOU ALL.”

Former owner and current part-timer at the restaurant Dave Hoschlag believes Kimmer will do an awesome job as a leader and revolutionize the place.
