Charles City High School drama department to put on ‘radio show’ on 95.9 KCHA

The Charles City High School drama department was set to perform a play version of ‘M*A*S*H’ for their spring ensemble. Instead, the virus cancelled essentially the rest of the school year and left Director Michelle Grob with a question:

If these pandemic conditions continue, could we lose our fall performance as well?

To combat the fear of losing their fall performance, Grob decided to ensure that their play was un-cancellable by directing a radio play.

For this year’s play, 25 actors will be performing 5 short comedy plays written by Eric Coble. These performances will occur at the old middle school auditorium on October 30th and the 31st, and will be broadcasted directly to 95.9 KCHA – as well as video streamed on our website KCHANews.com.

For both the performances, Grob is hoping to have a live social-distanced audience as well.
