Charles City man, James Ray Foster III, has been charged with sexual abuse of a minor. 24-year-old Foster was arrested in September and is now facing a count of 2nd degree sex abuse and another county of lascious acts with a child.

These charges are for a sexual assault on a young girl that happened several years ago. From 2014 to 2016, the young girl was 6-8 years old when Foster allegedly sexually abused her.

Foster is currently in custody at the Floyd County Jail. Foster’s cash bond is set at $25,000 and he hasn’t yet entered a formal plea. Foster could face up to 25 years for his Class B felony and up to 10 years for his Class C felony – Foster could also be fined up to $10,000.

Back in 2017, Foster was charged with lascivious acts with a child and pleaded guilty. He got 10 years in prison – before getting 5 years probation and put on the Iowa Sex Offender Registry.
