Nominations being accepted for Charles City ‘Man of the Year’ and ‘Woman of the Year’

For those with volunteer-active friends and family – the Charles City Man of the Year, Woman of the Year or a Caught in the Act Award are still taking nominations.

These awards are given out yearly at the Charles City Chamber ‘volunteer honors ceremony’ and are open to all non-profit organizations and schools in town to take part in and recognize their top volunteers.

Usually the event is held in the spring and the public is invited to attend, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic it was postponed and will now be a virtual event. Volunteer honors will be announced during a Facebook Live event on Friday, Nov. 6th, at 8 a.m. at Chuck Town: Charles City, Iowa.

Nomination forms for Man of the Year and Woman of the Year can be found online at www.charlescitychamber.com. The Caught in the Act Awards are given to people nominated after being seen doing a selfless act for someone else or the community in general this past year. Nomination forms are also available on the website or through the office.

Nominations are due in by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23rd. For more information, call (641) 228-4234 or email mark@charlescitychamber.com.
