The second and final round of leaf pick-up for Charles City is set.
On November 16th, the street department will be making its rounds across the city sweeping up leaves. The city asks leaves be kept 12-16 inches from the curb to help prevent storm sewers from clogging.
The street department will only sweep each street ONCE during the week of November 16th – so people should have their leaves out as soon as possible that week.
If one misses this final round of leaf pickup, one can always go to the Shaw Avenue Dumpsite which is open every day.
