Local quilting group donates 100 pillowcases to the Ronald McDonald House

100 handmade pillowcases are now on their way to the Ronald McDonald House.

Local nonprofit group Patchwork Pals Quilt Guild made 100 handmade pillowcases with designs like jungle animals, exotic fruits, and more and presented them to the Charles City Soifer Family McDonalds.

Marketing Manager Emily Garden says she was impressed with their hard work and dedication.

In past years, the guild has crafted hundreds of masks for care centers and hospitals, pregnancy bags for Hope for Life Pregnancy Center, artwork bags for Charles City Public Library, dresses for African youth, fidget quilts for the elderly, Christmas stockings for foster children, and more.

The guild has been helping out local organizations since 2006 and has over 30 members.
