Charles City city council holds bi-annual ‘goal setting’ meeting; talks about old Kmart building, trail system, etc.

Every two years, the city of Charles City has a open conversation about the area’s goals going forward. This conversation usually pools the elected officials and city staff’s ideas for the future. This time, the city also polled the community about what they think the focus should be.

According to City Administrator Steve Diers, 250-plus citizens took the survey and the most frequent responses were about the old KMart building.
