Charles City Cultural Equity Board handing out FREE drive-thru Thanksgiving meals next week

Thanksgiving is in exactly a week. Throwing together a full meal for the whole family can be time-consuming and expensive.

Worry not! The Charles City Cultural Equity Board has it covered.

On the day before Thanksgiving, November 25th, they will be holding a FREE meal drive-thru (on a while-supplies-last basis). This event will run from 3 to 6 p.m. and the drive thru will be located at the Charles City Arts Center.

The menu for the meal looks like this:

  • Turkey
  • Pulled Pork
  • Mac and Cheese
  • Potato Salad
  • Pies and Cake

The meals will be distributed in to-go boxes and 4 people per vehicle can receive the meal.

These meals were made possible by the donations of some local businesses including Americorp, Community Partnerships for Protecting Children (CPPC), Dave’s Restaurant, and Randy’s BBQ.

The Charles City Equity Board is a group with the mission to create a “culturally diverse community” which will make the community “stronger, happier, and healthier lives.”
