Starting Friday, Main Street in Charles City will have some extra dazzle – with Christmas lights lining the windows of the second floor buildings. This project is courtesy of the Rotary Club.
Rotarian Tami Vetter says the Rotary Club wants to build upon this project over the years and illuminate the city one window at a time.
Overall, the Rotary Club hopes the light display will encourage locals and visitors alike to drive through Charles City at night.
In the future, the Rotary Club plans to coordinate with more local businesses and create a fully-fleshed drive-thru light show in Charles City.
