Regional Health Services of Howard County using virus antibodies to help future patients

After a person has COVID-19, they develop antibodies – and right now, the world’s hospitals are attempting to get their hands on them. According to Abby Nelson from Regional Health Services of Howard County, their hospital can do some really interesting things with the virus’s antibodies.

Nelson says the hospital has been doing this process for over a week now and that it can actually decrease the amount of time the virus is a person’s system.

Nelson says this antibody process is specifically for people with mild to moderate symptoms and can only be accomplished within 3 days of getting a positive test.

She also alludes that the hospital is only able to do this process to about 4 patients a day.
