Floyd County new ‘Law Enforcement Center’ could be completed by February; to host open house

In what could be 2 months, Floyd County could have their brand new Law Enforcement Center. According to Chief Deputy Pat Shirley, the construction should be complete in February (a rough estimate) if everything goes to plan.

At the point where the project is finished, Shirley says that employee training will begin. They will also be hiring jailers.

Shirley explains what the construction team are currently working on:

When the facility is finished, there will also be other loose ends to tie up in the transitional process.

Shirley says that eventually the Law Enforcement Center will be holding an open house for the public to see the interior of the building. Until then, for security purposes, interior pictures and videos will not be released.
