The COVID-19 case numbers in Iowa spiked this winter and made Gov. Kim Reynolds create a two-spectator rule for winter high school sports. This two-spectator rule means that only two fans per student athlete can watch basketball and wrestling in person. To make sure more fans can watch, school districts have been scrambling to find a way to livestream these events online.
According to a Facebook post, North Butler schools has done just that:
“North Butler Schools would like to send out a special thank you to Landus Cooperative for the generous donation which will allow us to stream all further home winter sports activities held in the new gym for free. The link can be found on northbutler.org.”
The Charles City Comets have a similar luxury where at KCHANews.com, one can watch live broadcasts of all Comet basketball and wrestling matches.
